The Secret Problems of other Couples (@TheSchoolOfLife)

It's not a huge shocker that most people don't like publicly sharing their struggles. This is even more true when it comes to couples. I know friends who avoid discussing their relationships like the plague... and I get it. It's hard to be vulnerable and transparent with people. You put yourself in a position where you want to deal with stuff on your own, or end up feeling like it's easier to discuss personal matters with strangers because they won't judge you or know enough of the back story to call you out on your stuff.

With that said, I know I'm a bit of a weirdo when it comes to feeling relatively comfortable discussing most of my business. The caveat? My boyfriend is SUPER private lol... so over the years I've toned down my oversharing out of respect for him. I mean, he never signed up to be a relationship blogger so it was only fitting.

Anyways, when I stumbled upon the "The Problems of Other Couples" on Facebook, I found it refreshing to see couples candidly speak about their ups and downs. It wasn't in a "misery loves company" type of way either, but it helped normalize the things we, ourselves, go through and get a conversation started. It's easy to feel alone at times or like you're the only one in the world experiencing something in a relationship... but odds are that you're not alone.
